This is one of my favorite photos from the east side of Glacier National Park. Erik and two friends were slightly ahead of me in our hiking party on a windy, rapidly changing mid-October day.  I love the motion conveyed by the hikers and swaying golden trees against racing clouds, piercing blue skies and freshly fallen high country snow. Fortunately we didn’t see any bears that day, but we did see several moose at the trailhead parking lot!
