Makoshika State Park is Montana’s largest, protecting over 11,000 acres of badlands, remnant prairie, forested areas and amazing views in all directions. Rattlesnakes, and dinosaur fossils from the Hell Creek geologic formation are also present here, so please tread lightly and carefully as you explore and enjoy one of the Treasure State’s most surprising protected natural areas.
