From the top of Mount Jumbo, you can see the Missoula Valley and beyond, with views of the Bitterroot, Garnet, Sapphire, Reservation Divide and other mountain ranges, depending on what the weather’s up to. This photo was taken in late October after an overnight dusting of snow that had largely melted by early afternoon. Fall’s a great time to be in the Northern Rockies, but be prepared for all weather conditions, as we just might have all four seasons in one day, or over a period of several hours!
