This view is from just east of Logan Pass, which sits at 6,647 feet along the Continental Divide in Glacier National Park. A fast moving thunderstorm had recently passed through the area, leaving a few hardy hikers and photographers ready to enjoy the sun backlighting clouds racing east toward Montana’s prairies and beyond. From Logan Pass there are several excellent hikes, including the Hidden Lake and Highline trails, but even with potentially thousands of visitors on a summer day, always be alert for bears and be aware of your surroundings.
