In winter, Fishing Bridge harbors more trumpeter swans and bison than human residents in this remote area of Yellowstone, the world’s first national park. The view looking south from the bridge encompasses Yellowstone Lake, which often freezes over for five months of the year, and the Red Mountains in the distance.
NOTE: The preceding description for the “Winter View from Fishing Bridge” lithographic note card appears on the reverse of this card. I worked as a park ranger here in the winter of 2001-02, and the view from this bridge was part of my daily commute.
