Taken from Norm’s Island along the Yellowstone River near Billings on Winter Solstice 2012, this scene could be of just about any wild and free-flowing river in Montana, a.k.a. “The Last Best Place”. Ice jams predominate in the foreground of the image, but what caught my eye after developing the picture was the reflection of trees and the sunset in the small open channel of water to the right. A special thank you for this photo goes out to our close friend Clint, for showing us one of his favorite Billings nature spots!
