Considered the largest log structure on earth, the Old Faithful Inn first opened its doors to Yellowstone visitors arriving by stagecoach in 1904.
Designed by architect Robert Reamer (1873-1938), he later supervised the addition of the Inn’s east and west wings.A National Historic Landmark, the Old Faithful Inn has inspired national parks architecture nationally and worldwide.
This beloved lodge evokes Yellowstone’s wild spirit, ruggedness and natural beauty, and is part of a larger National Historic District within the world’s first national park. The Inn is generally open from mid-May to early October.
