Floating or rafting the Snake River on a summer afternoon with the Grand Tetons towering in the background is a real and rare treat, especially when you’re free to enjoy the scenery and your hands are free to take photographs!

Being on the river is also an excellent vantage point to look for moose, black bears, osprey, bald eagles, deer, beavers, and other critters. The Snake River originates not far from Two Ocean Plateau in Yellowstone National Park, and meanders over 1,000 miles before joining the Columbia River in Washington State, while the Tetons are one of North America’s youngest mountain ranges.
